Management Accountant
£38,000 – £43,000 | Walsall | Full-time, on-site (5 days per week)

An established organisation based in Walsall is looking to appoint a capable and commercially astute Management Accountant. This is a key role within the finance team, offering full ownership of the management accounts and the opportunity to work closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Production of monthly management accounts, including full P&L and balance sheet
Preparation of accruals, prepayments and journal entries
Monthly variance analysis and reporting against budget/forecast
Cost centre reporting and support to department managers
Budgeting and forecasting support, including financial modelling where needed
Cashflow forecasting and analysis
Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of key schedules
Assist with year-end audit and statutory reporting
Review and improve existing processes and controls

Candidate Requirements:

AAT qualified or actively studying CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent)
Proven experience in a management accounting role
Solid understanding of P&L, cashflow and balance sheet
Strong Excel skills and good system literacy
Able to interpret and present financial data to non-finance stakeholders
Proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable working to tight deadlines
Willing and able to work on-site five days per week
