Management Accountant

Management Account | Wrexham | £40,000 - £50,000

An opportunity to join a large manufacturing business based in Wrexham, a fantastic business with a legacy of high performance and stable work environment.

This role will support the Financial Controller in producing crucial monthly MI and is ideally suited to an experienced Accountant with a passion for process improvement as well as a flair for utilising large volumes of data via Excel and other reporting tool.

Main duties include;

• Support the production of regular financial reports, including income statements, cash flow summaries, variance insights, and accompanying narratives.
• Evaluate financial results to inform both strategic planning and long-range forecasting efforts.
• Maintain oversight of key balance sheet items, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations each month.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial accounts that reflect a clear and fair representation of the business position.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in operational and cost accounting to provide context and insight into financial trends.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable financial guidelines and statutory requirements.
• Continuously review and refine accounting procedures to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Manage recurring audit and tax documentation, ensuring the organisation remains in a state of audit readiness throughout the year.

Candidate profile;

• Experienced in producing management accounts – Qualified/Part qualified or QBE
• Excellent Excel skills
• Previous experience within manufacturing preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong commercial acumen
