Job Description - Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has come up for a Management Accountant to join a high-growth fintech in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Whether you’re a seasoned Management Accountant or a part-qualified candidate ready to step up, this role offers real scope for growth, ownership, and exposure.

You’ll work closely with both the Financial Controller and CFO, supporting business-wide decision-making through accurate reporting, financial insight, and hands-on involvement across a range of projects.

The team works mostly remotely, with just one day a week in the office—based in a fantastic central London location.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts
Lead the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
Partner with department heads to support budgeting and forecasting
Deliver variance analysis and commentary on business performance
Support with cash flow forecasting and working capital management
Assist with statutory accounts and year-end audit preparation
Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes, and controls

Key Skills & Experience:

At least 3 years’ experience working in a finance role with strong exposure to month-end processes
Proven Management Accounts experience, including variance analysis and stakeholder reporting
Part-qualified, finalist, or newly qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
Open to both career climbers looking for a step up, and more experienced Management Accountants
Fintech or start-up background is a bonus
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
Proactive, adaptable, and confident working in a high-growth environment
