Management Accountant

As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, overseeing financial and tax reporting, and partnering with department managers across the business. The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (ACCA) and come with previous experience working within imports / exports and HMRC customs compliance.

Our Mid Kent based client are seeking a Management Accountant to join them on a full time and permanent basis. This opportunity is with a medium-sized organisation known for its commitment to excellence and innovation.

Description

Management Accountant duties include;

• Update and reconcile UK and foreign bank recs, including investigating unreconciled amounts with the relevant people
• Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet controls, including investigation and journal corrections and liaising with all departments, suppliers and growers where required
• Management and review of profitability
• Preparation of weekly and monthly intercompany reconciliations, including intercompany recharge invoices and internal reporting
• Maintain Fixed Asset register
• Review and preparation of overhead expenses, including reconciliation of prepayment and accrual schedules, and posting monthly journals within 2 days of month end
• Provide support to Management Accounts team to complete month end close process
• Complete internal audit on a monthly basis
• Prepare VAT returns for Group companies on a quarterly basis
• Assist with tax reporting requirements
• Assist with year end close process including preparation and review of statutory notes and audit

Profile

The successful Management Accountant should have:

• A formal qualification is preferred (ACA, ACCA).
• Experience of working with imports / exports and HMRC customs compliance.
• Strong experience in management accounting within a commercial setting.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Confidence in collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.
• WILL consider a first stepper from Practice

MUST DRIVE DUE TO LOCATION

Job Offer

• A competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000, depending on experience.
