Management Accountant

Are you ready to step up into a management role and help shape a brand new finance team?

Gleeson Recruitment are working with a fantastic business in Derby that are looking for a Management Accountant to join an exciting new team. This is a great opportunity for someone who's confident with the fundamentals of management accounting and looking to make their mark through process improvement, balance sheet ownership, and hands-on team management.

This role is paying up to £55,000 with 3 days on site and 2 days at home.

The role:

• Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager, Group Accountant, and Financial Controller

• Preparation of monthly management accounts

• Balance sheet reviews and reconciliations

• Supporting process improvements and system enhancements

• Managing and developing a team of two

• Working closely with the Head of Finance to help establish and embed a new team structure

The ideal candidate:

• CIMA or ACCA qualified

• Experience producing management accounts

• Comfortable stepping into a leadership role

• A mindset for efficiency and continuous improvement

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
