Management Accountant

Location: Stafford
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Fully Onsite
Salary: £32,000 – £42,500 (Dependent on Experience)

I am looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join an expanding business, which has an annual turnover of £20 million. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for driving financial performance through accurate reporting and strategic insight.

• Collate and analyse monthly costings; deliver clear financial reports to support decision-making.
• Prepare quarterly profit and loss summaries for pre-tax purposes.
• Complete monthly accounts, including VAT returns and statutory tax submissions.
• Develop and manage annual and monthly budgets aligned with business goals.
• Monitor and report on key operational KPIs (e.g., labour efficiency, material variances, waste).
• Produce investment appraisal reports and advise on cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate costings for both existing and new product lines within farm operations.
• Generate ad-hoc financial reports for management as needed.
• Ensure accuracy in financial data and support forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Organise and summarise financial data using ledgers and accounting software.
• Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and reduce administrative workload.
• Support negotiations on vehicle finance and related products when required.
• Prepare, maintain, and reconcile sales records; issue invoices and account statements.

Qualifications:

• AAT qualified (Level 3 or 4)
• Experience: Minimum 4–5 years in a finance role, ideally with experience in management accounting or as an Accounts Manager.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with Farm Plan software is advantageous.
