Management Accountant

Sheridan Maine is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a leading organisation in the Portsmouth area.

The role will be working within a small team and will encompass a wide range of financial and management accounting tasks.

Key duties of the role include:

• Month end journals, accruals and prepayments
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Performing stock reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Fixed asset management
• Assisting with the external audit
• Processing payroll journals
• Identifying and implementing system and process improvements

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience in a management accountant or similar role
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced excel skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Qualified, part qualified ( ACCA / AAT / CIMA ) or qualified by experience
