Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Manchester – Trafford | £40,000 - £45,000

An opportunity has arisen to join a successful business based in Manchester in a role designed to oversee month end MI production whilst aiming to proactively add value to internal non-finance stakeholders.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will have a broad role with main duties including;

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes across departments
• Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance
• Monitor and control expenditure, highlighting cost-saving opportunities
• Support business decision-making with financial analysis and insights
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journal entries as part of month-end processes
• Liaise with auditors and assist in the preparation of audit materials
• Provide financial support to operational teams and help track KPIs
• Assist in developing and improving financial reporting systems and processes
• Support compliance with internal controls and financial policies
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior management

Candidate profile;

• CIMA/ACCA Qualified or Finalist
• Proven expeirence within Management Accounts
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communciation skills
