Management Accountant

About the Business

We are recruiting for a Management Accountant for a fantastic tech business based near Birmingham Airport. This is a brilliant opportunity to take the next step in your career at a very supportive business.

Main Duties:

As a Management Accountant, your main duties include:

• You will be responsible for preparing management accounts.
• Manage the cash book and perform bank reconciliations, including the processing of ad hoc manual payments through online banking platforms.
• Handle the posting of accruals and prepayments.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgeted figures.
• Complete and submit various head office reports.
• Perform full reconciliations of the balance sheet for each assigned trading entity, integrating the results into a PDF for head office reporting.
• Maintain monthly plan working files to build the necessary planning data.
• Prepare annual profit & loss and balance sheet forecasts.
• Complete the annual internal statutory accounts package to support the group-wide consolidation process.
• Process payroll and conduct related variance analysis.
• Support the monthly submission process for internal control reporting.

Location / Office / Culture

This opportunity offers a great hybrid working split, with 3 days a week at their modern offices near Birmingham Airport and 2 days working from home.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Studying either AAT/ CIMA / ACCA
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience with Management Accounts
• Experience with stock is a bonus
