The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

• Prepare and analyse management accounts to provide insights into financial performance.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to manage expenditure and optimise financial resources.
• Conduct variance analysis and suggest cost-saving measures where applicable.
• Support year-end audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• Working towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in the retail industry or a similar sector.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics would be advantagious
• Excellent communication skills to present financial data clearly.
• An ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
