Management Accountant - 6-Month FTC

£40,000 - £45,000 (some flex) pro-rata

We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our client's finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The business operates across the UK with over 1,200 employees and 7,000+ customers.

You must have experience working in a complex organisation, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and respond to multiple stakeholders. The role involves managing three direct reports, supporting them through demanding deadlines and supporting their tailored development plans.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering accurate management accounts to deadline
• Reviewing submissions and providing feedback
• Signing off monthly balance sheet reconciliations and commentary
• Approving monthly risks and opportunities
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting
• Preparing financial year-end audit packs and liaising with auditors
• Conducting monthly one-to-one meetings and performance reviews
• Managing absences and escalating where necessary
• Collaborating with other Management Accountants and finance teams
• Maintaining and improving process documentation
• Providing cover for senior finance roles when required
• Carrying out ad hoc finance tasks as needed

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant, ideally qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA (or equivalent) - QBEs will also be considered for the position. You need to have strong Excel knowledge and the ability to work with complex data.
