Job Description - Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen in North Walsham for a Management Accountant, working for a well-established, successful business.
Working closely with a supportive and approachable Financial Controller and the wider team, who are positive and maintain a happy, enjoyable working atmosphere.
On-site working, flexible hours.
Study support available.

The role:

Work closely with the Financial Controller in preparing the month-end management accounts for the UK site, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Prepare and present supporting schedules, explaining the period’s performance and completing variance analysis.
Assist the Financial Controller and Managing Director in producing Quarterly Business Reviews, analysing past performance, preparing forecasts, and contributing to long-term financial planning.
Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews of balance sheet accounts to ensure reconciliations are accurate and complete.
Maintain and monitor KPIs across the business to support senior management in monitoring and improving performance.
In collaboration with HR, calculate monthly payroll for submission to the outsourced payroll provider.
Liaise with external auditors regarding the statutory audit
Manage, support, and develop the Finance Assistant in day-to-day tasks

Skills required:

Experience within a similar role
AAT-qualified or CIMA/ ACCA would be desirable but not essential
Advanced Excel skills
