Management Accountant

An rare opportunity has arisen to join the management team with a well established company within the Business Services Industry. We are looking for a motivated Management Accountant to join our clients team and be part of the management team, as they go from strength to strength.

The successful candidate will be working to grow the finance function within the company and will be looking at process improvements and developments.

Duties

• Managing the day to day financial transactions - purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll.
• Managing three direct reports.
• Accruals & prepayments, banking and bank reconciliations.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register, including depreciation of assets.
• Maintaining credit management.
• In charge of the company management accounts, - monthly and annually.
• Reviewing and working to internal controls and setting up new controls where necessary.
• Cash flow forecasting and management
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Experienced management accountant
• Must have recent working experience of Sage 50
• Strong Excel skills
• Must live within an easily commutable distance of Skelmersdale ( WN8 postcode)
• Good communication skills
• Experience of system and working practise improvement and staff management
