Description

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
• Oversee reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in financial data.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities across the department.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and analysis.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should be:

• Working towards a recognised accounting qualification or equivalent experience in the field.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
• Experience in the retail industry is advantageous but not essential.
