Management Accountant

Location: Manchester

Salary: circa £38,000- £45,000 DOE

We are recruiting for a motivated Management Accountant to join a dynamic and fast-paced company based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional, who looking to expand their experience within a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity, taking ownership of key accounting functions and working closely with various internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly management accounts preparation for the main group
• Maintain financial control and accounts preparation for smaller group entities
• Prepare and submit VAT returns across multiple companies
• Manage the Purchase Ledger function, including CIS reporting
• providing day-to-day support and guidance to the small finance team
• Produce ad hoc reports and support wider finance initiatives
• Liaise with team leaders across departments to ensure strong internal communication

Key skills & attributes:

• Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA or a strong qualified by experience accountant
• Experience working in entrepreneurial or owner-managed businesses would be desirable
• A sound understanding of key accounting processes, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations etc
• A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail and excellent communication
