Management Accountant
Location: Wrexham
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + benefits
Hours: 38.75 hours per week (rotating shifts between 8:45am-5:15pm and 9am-5:30pm, with 45-minute lunch)

We're looking for an experienced and driven Management Accountant to join a supportive finance team in Wrexham. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of management reporting, play a key role in budgeting and forecasting, and support strategic decision-making within a growing business.

• Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports

• Performing variance analysis to provide insights on business performance

• Overseeing reconciliations and ensuring financial integrity

• Managing fixed assets and depreciation schedules

• Preparing and reviewing accruals, prepayments, and journals

• Coordinating the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts

• Supporting statutory reporting and year-end audits

• Ensuring compliance with VAT, Intrastat, and EC Sales

• Providing financial guidance to senior leadership and department managers

• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the finance team

• Driving improvements in financial processes and systems (SAP experience desirable)

• Fully qualified accountant (AAT Level 4 minimum); working towards or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA is desirable

• Previous experience in a management accounting role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/financial systems (SAP preferred)

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
