As Management Accountant, you'll provide essential financial insight to support decision-making and drive performance across the business. You'll take ownership of management accounts, forecasting, and financial reporting, playing a vital role in ensuring robust financial control as the business continues to grow. This is a key position for a Management Accountant who enjoys variety, challenge, and the opportunity to influence strategy and operations alike.
This role is available either in Bedford or Cambridge so location is flexible.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and timely management accounts and financial reporting. Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with internal stakeholders. Monitor and manage cost control across departments. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring compliance with financial policies and internal controls. Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management. Liaise with auditors, banks, funders, and other key stakeholders. Continuously improve financial processes and reporting systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
You'll be an ambitious and detail-oriented Management Accountant with a strong understanding of financial principles and a passion for driving business performance. Ideally, you'll be part-qualified or newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with previous experience in management accounting, gained within a fast-paced or growing organisation. As a Management Accountant, you'll be confident in communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders, highly proficient in Excel and accounting systems such as Sage 50 or Power BI, and able to work accurately under pressure. A proactive and flexible mindset, coupled with strong commercial awareness, will allow you to add real value and contribute to the ongoing success of this thriving business Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
