Borthwick Group, based in Hartlepool, is the UK's leading Energy Efficiency business, specialising in the installation of high-efficiency Boilers and Solar PV systems. Our work helps households reduce energy costs while supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future.

With strong demand across the UK we are expanding our finance team and looking for a commercially focused Management Accountant to support our next phase of growth.

The Role

This is a key role within the business, responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and providing insight to support decision-making across operations.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership and operational teams, helping to track performance across installation projects and improve overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis

* Budgeting and forecasting across multiple business areas

* Project and job costing analysis (Boiler installs, Solar PV projects)

* Monitoring margins, costs, and performance KPIs

* Cash flow forecasting and working capital management

* Supporting year-end accounts and audit processes

* Improving financial processes and reporting systems

Essential Requirenents:

* Proven experience as a Management Accountant

* Strong Excel and financial analysis skills

* Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance teams

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail

* Qualified to ACA or ACCA

Desirable:

* Experience in construction, renewables, engineering, or installation-led environments

* Knowledge of project accounting / job costing

Salary & Benefits

* £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
