Management Accountant

The company are looking for an experienced and ambitious Management Accountant to join their Finance team in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with commercial insight to influence business performance and support strategic decision-making. The role includes responsibility for monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, business partnering and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:-

* Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reports.

* Providing detailed financial analysis and commentary on business performance.

* Producing variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.

* Supporting annual budget and rolling forecast processes.

* Managing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals.

* Assisting with statutory reporting and audit requirements.

* Partnering with operational and commercial teams to improve financial performance.

* Supporting cost control, inventory analysis and working capital management.

* Identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting, controls and processes.

* Supporting finance transformation and system improvement projects.

* Coaching and supporting junior members of the Finance team where required.

Skills and experience:-

Essential

* Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.

* Previous experience within a Management Accountant role, with the skills to bring both technical expertise and strong business partnering skills.

* Strong management accounting and financial reporting knowledge.

* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable

* Manufacturing industry experience.

* SAP or ERP system experience.

* Experience of budgeting, forecasting and business planning.

* Knowledge of stock accounting and cost analysis.
