Management Accountant (12 months Fixed Term Contract)

Morgan Advanced Materials is a global leader in advanced materials science and engineering, operating in over 30 countries and serving customers in more than 100 countries worldwide. We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Technical Ceramics business in Stourport.

This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified finance professional with manufacturing experience who is looking to take ownership of site financial reporting while partnering closely with operational teams to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare monthly management accounts and site financial reporting.

* Post month-end journals and support month-end close activities.

* Analyse spend and budget variances, identifying opportunities for corrective action.

* Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow forecasting processes.

* Maintain and develop the standard costing system.

* Monitor inventory accounting, stock valuation and cost variances.

* Provide financial insight to production and engineering teams.

* Drive working capital improvements and support cost-saving initiatives.

* Support Capex planning, justification and monitoring.

* Ensure compliance with financial controls, company policies and reporting requirements.

* Partner with site leadership to provide meaningful financial analysis and recommendations.

About You

We are looking for someone who can combine strong financial skills with a hands-on approach and the confidence to influence stakeholders across the business.

You will ideally have:

* Experience as a Management Accountant, Cost Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant or similar.

* Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.

* Experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting.

* Knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting and variance analysis.

* Budgeting and forecasting experience.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

* A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

* Studying towards a CIMA qualification (or similar accountancy qualification).

* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar manufacturing finance role.
