We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established and highly successful financial services organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a busy finance team of four, providing accurate management information, driving financial control, and supporting strategic decision making across the business.

Reporting into a senior finance leader, you'll take ownership of month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities, while partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to improve financial performance and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the month-end reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Prepare and submit monthly General Ledger data and Key Performance Indicators.
Produce monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs for senior stakeholders.
Deliver detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
Take ownership of cost centre reporting and overhead expenditure analysis.
Work closely with budget holders to monitor and control costs, including project expenditure.
Calculate and maintain key financial provisions.
Ensure compliance with external reporting obligations and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and controls.
Support finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as a deputy to senior finance leadership when required.
Provide guidance and coaching to a direct report.
About You
We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong management accounting experience and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.Essential Experience & Skills:

Proven background in management accounting and month-end reporting.
Experience working with large asset bases and complex financial environments.
Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience.
Excellent cost control and financial analysis skills.
Business partnering experience with non-finance stakeholders.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Power BI.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to interpret and present financial data to senior management.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Proactive, self-motivated and solutions-focused approach.
