Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a business in Burnley who require a Management Accountant to join them in this newly created role. The business is a multi-site operation and has seen extensive growth over the last few years which has been organic but also driven by their customer base which has seen a huge increase in demand.

Duties as the Management Accountant will include:

• Improve the current purchase order processing system and provide tighter controls around the business with expenditure.

• Establish effective stock controls and process, which incorporate stock movements/levels

• Develop a full KPI reporting suite around customer trends, stock levels, product mix and profitability.

• Work closely with the finance team to establish a cohesive reporting pack across multi sites

• Full responsible for the fixed asset register and associated depreciations.

• Refine the current working capital report and cashflow forecasting process, developing further accuracy.

• Manage the daily and weekly cashflow movements and control accounts.

The role will need you to be adaptable and happy to work as a team at all levels right across the business, there is no hierarchy within this business. The role is excellent for developing your commercial knowledge and reporting, while at the same time being coached by a fantastic FD/mentor and direct exposure to the Board on a daily basis.

You will be knowledgeable in the month end production and able to assist with the management accounts alongside the Directors of the business, preferably developing the management information available to key decision makers.
