Management Accountant

Job DescriptionProperty Management AccountantThe role of the Management Accountant will be to support the Financial Controller in day to day and ad-hoc matters to ensure accuracy of monthly and yearly accounts, including but not limited to:Ownership of property P&L cost lines, including the calculation and posting of monthly accruals and prepaymentsCreation and maintenance of a property accounting and cashflow database to ensure accurate month-end reporting and analysis,Delivery of accurate franchise accounting (for UK and European franchise shops) and central costs (UK and International)Posting of monthly accruals and prepayments for other specific P&L cost linesProduction of balance sheet reconciliations, to be reviewed with the Financial Controller on a monthly basisReconciliation of actual performance versus forecast for shop and central overhead cost linesAssistance to the Financial Controller to continuously improve internal control environmentCreation and maintenance of finance procedure manualsSupport to the Financial Controller analysing financial performance and contributing to business planning, budgeting and forecastingInterpretation and communication of financial data with non-financial stakeholdersMonitoring and evaluation of financial reports, recommending and driving improvementsSupport to the Financial Controller, working with all Support Centre departments to ensure expenditure in line with budget and forecastsOversight of capital expenditure, with the ability to provide accurate and timely analysis of actuals and forecasting for recharge purposes and capex reportingThe Ideal CandidateFully qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMAMinimum of 12 months experience in Property AccountingMulti-site experience in retail, hospitality, or similar field strongly preferredStrong analytical skills and a keen eye for detailAble to create and follow set processesStrong drive for understandingGreat communicator
