An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant to join a growing and fast-paced business based in Burnley. This role is ideal for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and dynamic finance team.The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation of management accounts, month-end processes, and financial reporting across multiple entities.

Your new role

Prepare month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and deferred income.
Produce management accounts and supporting financial reports.
Complete month-end routines, including profit and loss reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
Reconcile multiple sources of financial information with a high degree of accuracy.
Maintain fixed asset registers and process depreciation.
Manage intercompany transactions, journals, transfers and reconciliations.
Support the preparation of VAT returns and associated reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies within the finance function.What you'll need to succeed

AAT qualified as a minimum, Part Qualified or qualified by experience candidates also considered.
Previous experience producing management accounts or assisting with management accounts preparation.
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with accounting software such as Sage is advantageous.
3 years' experience of producing Management Accounts.What you'll get in return

Salary of £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
5 days on site in Burnley
