Are you a Management Accountant who enjoys getting involved in the wider business, building relationships with stakeholders and understanding what sits behind the numbers?

I'm recruiting for a commercially focused Management Accountant opportunity with an established and growing organisation in East Yorkshire. This is a role that gives you the chance to provide meaningful financial insight, support decision-making and influence business performance.

It's an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strong technical accounting skills with commercial awareness and wants to play an active role in helping a business achieve its objectives.

The role

Working closely with senior finance colleagues and operational stakeholders, you'll be responsible for producing accurate financial information, supporting planning and forecasting activities, and helping teams understand their financial performance.

You'll play a key role in analysing results, identifying opportunities and risks, and providing clear, meaningful insight to support business decisions.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people as much as they enjoy working with numbers and is looking for an opportunity to develop their commercial finance experience.

You'll be involved in:

• Producing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end activities


• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining financial controls


• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes


• Analysing financial performance and investigating variances


• Providing commentary and insight to support business decision-making


• Business partnering with operational and non-finance stakeholders


• Monitoring performance against budgets and forecasts


• Supporting profitability analysis and reporting


• Assisting with cash flow forecasting and working capital management


• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and efficiencies


• Supporting audit and year-end requirements

About you

They're looking for an ambitious finance professional with previous management accounting experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

You'll ideally be studying towards, qualified, or qualified by experience in ACCA, ACA or CIMA, with experience gained within a commercial finance environment.

You'll have strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys asking questions, understanding the bigger picture and using financial information to drive better business decisions.
