Job Description - Management Accountant - Hybrid working

Kenneth Brian Associates are recruiting for an amazing company based in Epsom who are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience within in similar role and will be looking for a role where they can continue to learn and develop. The company has a working model of 3 days in the office with 2 days working from home along with a 10% annual bonus.

The Role:

  • Production of monthly management accounts to strict deadlines for multiple divisions.
  • Reconciliation of booking system expected revenue to general ledger postings.
  • Calculation and posting of monthly accrued income values.
  • Posting of all accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
  • Post cost allocations for various overhead invoices.
  • Undertake detailed monthly P&L cost analysis.
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for multiple companies.
  • Assist with year end and audit queries as required.
  • Preparation of quarterly UK VAT returns.
  • Oversight of purchase ledger function.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks at the direction of the Financial Controller.

The Candidate:

  • Experience in the production of monthly management accounts to a tight deadline.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups and pivot tables).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility in approach and ability to learn new system processing and skills quickly.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with people at all levels within the organisation.
  • Inquisitive self-starter and solutions driven.
  • Ability to show initiative and work on his/her own to achieve department and business objectives
