Job DescriptionManagement Accountant | Hypergrowth Drinks Scaleup | London / Hybrid Harmonic Finance are working on an exclusive basis with one of the UK’s fastest growing drinks businesses on the hire of a Management Accountant to join the team.Only a few years into their journey, through their fun and innovative branding, our client have managed to build out a hyper-growth omnichannel business and are now recruiting a newly created role into their finance team.Working as part of a small yet high-caliber finance team the Management Accountant will support the running of day-to-day finance which includes management of an outsourced finance function, a focus on providing analysis and building out a best-in-class finance function, fit for scale. The role will oversee the monthly reporting piece as well as providing key analysis of trends and metrics to the broader business. The role will suit candidates looking for autonomy and the chance to grow with a business who currently are the #1 brand in their category.Based in vibrant offices just a stone’s throw away from Soho, which are easily accessible on the Northern Line / Central or Elizabeth line, you’ll be joining a business not only known for their great products but great culture too. They offer a fun, dynamic environment which balances working in a fast-growth environment with regular socials and events. Currently they are going into the office on a hybrid basis – 3 days per week.The Role:Accurate production of monthly management accounts, working closely with the outsourced accountancy practice to deliver accurate and timely reports.Producing robust analysis of the monthly management accounts, including commentary around budgets vs actual for example.Ensuring that key deadlines are met in relation to the internal and external reporting requirements.Monthly reviews and reconciliation of the Balance sheet and completion of the month end accruals.Acting as the point of contact for the external accountants for completing the statutory accounting which would include closing year end, tax and general preparation of the financial statements for an HMRC deadlines.Key focus on continuous improvements to financial processes, controls and systems. Taking ownership for Xero as well as supporting with any projects or implications which could bolster efficiency within the finance function. This may include things like new systems in the future.Support the Finance Director and Finance Controller with really establishing the culture of finance across the business through working closely with other teams and building out cross-functional connectionsWhat our client would like to see:Qualified accountant: ACCA, CIMA, ACA, ICAS, CA or Finalist level (study support available)Experience within a product-based business would be beneficial this can be Food, Beverage,Fashion, Retail, Ecommerce etcExperience in people management.Advanced Excel skillsAbility to reference times where you have contributed to best practice or improved systems/processes.What we would like to see:Experience in an SME or fast-growth companyStrong technical experienceStock control experienceSalary: £50,000 - £55,000 + company benefitsLocation: London (hybrid)Start date: 3 months’ notice maximum.If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to [email protected] if you have any further questions.At Harmonic, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
