Management Accountant - Remote

This role would suit a part-qualified accountant who has designs on working their way up to financial controller and beyond.

The position of management accountant will report directly into the Finance Director of a small but rapidly growing software business. Offering the chance to work with someone we have known for many years and who also has a history of developing and promoting members of the finance team. You will be offered a fully remote contract and will be involved in the below set of tasks from the start.

Responsibilities

Timely preparation for the month management accounts
Preparing required accrual and prepayment journals
Managing the companies fixed assets
Cash flow management and forecasting
Assisting with quarterly and annual forecasting & budgeting
Balance sheet reconciliations
Payroll reconciliation and journal posting
VAT returns
Ad-hoc reporting as required by SLT

Person specification

Active studier, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA
Significant experience in a month end reporting role to date, be that financial or management accounts
Ambitious and eager for career opportunities and personal development
Excellent communicator and able to liaise with senior stakeholders
Strong Excel skills
A desire to embrace AI and improve process and procedures
