Our client, a well-established and growing business based in Poole, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accounting professional looking to take ownership of management reporting, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the continued success of a thriving organisation.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while providing valuable insights that help drive business performance.

The Role

As Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial reports
Monitoring and analysing company financial performance
Identifying financial risks and areas for improvement, presenting recommendations to senior management
Overseeing bookkeeping functions
Evaluating financial systems and processes, recommending improvements where appropriate
Producing accurate management accounts and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
Communicating financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders across the business
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policiesAbout You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification (or be qualified by experience)
Previous experience in a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar finance role
Strong knowledge of management accounting and financial reporting principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements
Strong Excel and financial systems skills
The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Previous experience supervising or mentoring team membersWhat's on Offer?
