As a Management Accountant (VAT) in the public sector, you'll play a key role in overseeing VAT compliance and reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. This temporary role will support the finance function in maintaining smooth financial operations.

Description

Prepare and review VAT returns to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Analyse financial data to identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
Provide guidance on VAT-related matters to internal stakeholders.
Monitor changes in VAT legislation and update processes accordingly.
Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with budget monitoring.
Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors as required.Profile

A successful Management Accountant (VAT) should have:

Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements
Experience in preparing and reviewing VAT returns within a government organisation.
Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to interpret and apply changes in VAT legislation.
Hold a full accounting qualification (CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, or ACCA).

Job Offer

Daily rate of £400 to £450, dependent on the level of experience.
Interim 6 months contract
Hybrid working ( 2 days on site)
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
