Management Accounts Assistant

Marks Sattin is working in partnership with a well-established and highly respected brand in the manufacturing sector to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build on their finance experience while continuing their professional studies.

The role offers a competitive salary of £28,000, hybrid working, and full study support towards AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
• Process month-end journals, account reconciliations, and maintain control accounts
• Support the finance team in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Help manage accruals, capex, and expenditure across the group
• Contribute to weekly cash forecasting and monthly balance sheet reviews
• Work with internal teams to resolve accounting queries and ensure data integrity
• Assist with statutory reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
• Take ownership of your development, supported by structured training and study support

• Currently studying AAT, ACCA, or CIMA
• Solid understanding of double-entry and general ledger principles
• Comfortable working with high volumes of transactions
• Proficient in Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Open to hybrid working (office/home split)
