Job Description - Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a growing and successful accountancy practice in Diss. Working closely with Partners and the senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse client portfolio, developing high-performing teams and supporting the continued growth of the business. Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing a varied portfolio of clients efficiently and effectively
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
Coaching, mentoring and developing seniors and assistant managers
Providing regular, constructive feedback and supporting team members with their career development
Completing appraisals, one-to-one meetings and probation reviews
Overseeing workflow, holiday planning and the effective deployment of resources
Reviewing complex assignments and special project work
Supporting the preparation and presentation of proposals and tenders
Working with Partners and Directors to identify and pursue new business opportunities
Developing your network of professional contacts and referrers
Spotting opportunities to introduce clients to the firm's wider services
Contributing to marketing activities, networking events and external speaking opportunities
Identifying and delivering internal training requirements
Ensuring the team provides consistently high standards of client service
What you'll need to succeed

You will be ACA, ACCA or equivalently qualified, with significant post-qualified experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

Experience of successfully managing a portfolio of clients
Previous responsibility for leading, managing and developing a team
A positive and credible leadership style
Experience of coaching or mentoring colleagues
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage changing deadlines and priorities
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A proven ability to develop professional networks and relationships with referrers
A proactive, solution-focused approach to client and internal matters
Commercial awareness and a commitment to delivering excellent client service
The confidence and integrity to lead others while handling sensitive information appropriately
