About the Role
In this role, you will manage client portfolios across audit, accounts, and tax, ensuring technical excellence and the development of junior staff. Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing audit engagements and preparing statutory and annual accounts
Preparing and reviewing corporation and personal tax computations and returns
Conducting risk assessments and testing key controls
Reviewing and mentoring junior and mid -level staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Preparing management letters and reporting audit findings to clients
Supporting partners with business development and client portfolio management
Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering proactive advice
Ensuring compliance with professional standards, accounting regulations, and internal processes
Promoting efficient working practices and process improvements across the team
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
ACA or ACCA qualification
Extensive experience in accounts and tax within a practice environment; audit experience preferred.
Demonstrable experience reviewing and supervising junior staff
Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
Excellent client management and leadership skills
Commercial awareness and confidence managing complex workloads
Familiarity with modern accounting software and systems
