As a Tax Manager, you’ll be instrumental in steering the department’s daily operations and strategic direction. You'll lead by example, managing a portfolio of high-value corporate clients while setting the benchmark for exceptional service and technical excellence. This role is ideal for someone recently qualified or with 1-2 years post-qualification experience, and proven capability in managing a small or mid-sized team.

You’ll take full ownership of your client portfolio, delivering a full suite of tax compliance services and engaging in meaningful advisory work—including international tax issues. You'll be a trusted advisor to both clients and colleagues, balancing commercial insight with hands-on expertise.

Beyond client work, you’ll play a pivotal role in mentoring and developing junior team members, You’ll help drive performance through effective appraisals, coaching, and workload management, while contributing to a strong, collaborative culture.

We're looking for someone with excellent organisational and project management skills, as well as up-to-date technical knowledge of UK tax legislation. Your ability to educate others and inspire excellence will make you a vital part of our leadership team.

Prior experience managing a team within a professional services or tax environment.

Skills and responsibilities

• Qualified ACA, ACCA CTA with strong academics

• Strong technical knowledge across UK tax compliance, with some advisory and international exposure.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

• A proactive mindset with a natural ability to manage projects and meet key deadlines.
