Audit Manager / PA to Partner

Location: East Sussex | Hybrid Working | Full-Time | Competitive Salary

An independent, well-established accountancy practice in East Sussex is seeking an experienced Audit Manager / PA to Partner to join their supportive and close-knit team. This is a key position working closely with one of the firm’s Partners, with responsibility for managing and delivering audit services to a varied portfolio of clients while overseeing and supporting a team of audit professionals.

The Opportunity

This role offers a unique blend of hands-on audit delivery, client relationship management, and team leadership. As the right-hand support to a Partner, you will play an integral role in the successful delivery of audit services across a range of sectors, acting as the vital link between the Partner and the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and reviewing audit assignments for a broad portfolio, including corporate clients and charities

• Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout the audit process

• Supporting the Partner with client relationship management, planning and strategic input

• Delegating and overseeing work delivered by junior staff, including mentoring and coaching

• Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless delivery across the wider service offering

What We’re Looking For

• ACA or ACCA qualified, with strong audit experience (manager level preferred)

• Comfortable working closely with clients and building long-term relationships

• Excellent organisational and project management skills

• A proactive, personable, and commercially aware professional

• Background in general practice with exposure to both audit and accounts work is desirable
