Job Description - Manager, Technical Services, Dairy, Europe
Analyze customer needs, recommending suitable ingredients, providing technical guidance, and ensuring alignment with both application and commercial requirements. Oversee product trials at customer sites, optimize formulations and processes, while evaluating trial results by analyzing product performance and interpreting data to extract meaningful insights. Coordinate technical discussions between customers, account managers, and internal teams to align on project objectives and deliverables, and provide strategic oversight to ensure seamless customer support and business growth. Provides appropriate technical training for customers and sales teams. Based on understanding of market and customer trends, and in line with global/regional/segment strategies, identify gaps in current offering and proposes ideas for innovation/technology development; ensure successful launch and adoption in the markets of new products. You bring Deep Cheddar cheese technology expertise with practical experience (processing, unit operations, pilot equipment operation and troubleshooting), supported by a BSc or MSc in Food Technology (or equivalent) --a specialization in dairy or microbiology is a plus. Deep understanding and experience in the performance of flavors/ingredients in food matrices, as well as knowledge of ingredient functionalities and interactions in formulations. A balance of technical and commercial acumen, ensuring that solutions are both scientifically sound and commercially viable. Problem-solving mindset, quick on your feet, providing immediate yet stable technical solutions--including running trials and analyzing data to optimize results. Confidence in your expertise, combined with the ability to engage with customers and collaborate effectively with commercial partners. A proactive approach to opportunity identification, recognizing new business potential and bringing it to both the commercial team and customers.
