Simply Bearings Ltd was launched in 2004 and is the UK’s number one online retailer of bearings and power transmission equipment. The Company has maintained its number one position in the market place through continual reinvestment in the best technologies, media and talented individuals.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director for this well-established company in the bearings industry to oversee business operations and provide strategic leadership to new heights of success. The Managing Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, including strategic planning, business development, financial management and team leadership, leading the company to its next phase of growth.

As an ideal candidate, you will be a Managing Director with perhaps the experience of leading smaller companies but with the sophistication to manage and foster relationships with large multi-national suppliers, key outsource partners and clients. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of success both in your internal and external relationships and communications. Highly developed negotiation skills are seen as a key requirement for this role.

The ability to achieve the best from colleagues in developing the business proposition and its activities for planned growth and satisfaction across the many aspects of the Company is essential.

Board level reporting including analysis and expansion of available data will be a key internal requisite as will the presentation of this valuable information. Being highly numerate, with a strong proficiency in MS Excel is a must.

Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate each team within the business to achieve goals and objectives.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
Develop a competitive pricing structure for both B2B/B2C customers and suppliers.
Lead business development efforts to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
Monitor supply and demand, competitor offers and costs to determine and adjust selling prices.
Responsible for planning sales, purchasing, marketing, and product development projects, as well as guiding their implementation over the short- and long-term.
Responsible for supply chain operations whilst collaborating with sales, purchasing and marketing to forecast demand, anticipate customer needs and develop accurate demand plans.
Responsible for overseeing warehouse management including quality, stock control, productivity, distribution, costs and efficiency whilst remaining compliant with laws, regualtions and ISO requirements.
Oversee project management to ensure timely and successful completion of all projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Provide leadership and guidance to the management team and employees to foster a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA (Master of Business Administration) preferred.
5 years of proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the bearings industry or a related field.
5 years of proven experience in warehouse, distribution, sales and purchasing.
Knowledge and experience of technical engineering products.
A strong understanding of stock management systems.
Extensive knowledge and experience in supply chain operations
Extensive knowledge and experience in warehouse management
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience in e-commerce is preferable but not essential.
Experience in the bearings industry is preferable but not essential.
Being multi-lingual or bilingual in French, with international work experience is preferable but not essential.

Salary: £80k plus quarterly bonus and other benefits.

Hours: Monday to Friday; 40 paid hours per week.
