Our client is a well established and yet still rapidly expanding Law Firm with several offices based across the Midlands area employing over 150 staff and generating in excess of £11m P/A and plans to grow to in excess of £20m over the next 5 years.
As part of the Firms longer term ambition FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a experienced CEO or Managing Director to join the Group at this exiting time
The successful candidate will join the firm and lead the firm's overall operations and strategic direction, focusing on profitability and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Developing and implementing the firm's long-term vision, mission, and strategic goals.
Financial Management:
- Overseeing the firm's financial health, including budgeting, cash flow management, and profitability (supported by the finance director / COFA)
Operational Efficiency:
- Improving internal systems and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership and Management:
- Leading the management team, fostering a positive work environment, and representing the firm externally building a first class and driven team.
Compliance:
- Ensuring adherence to all legal and ethical standards (Supported by COLP)
Business Development:
- Overseeing marketing, client acquisition, and business development efforts.
With the desire to reach a broad audience of high calibre candidates for this key role.
This position can be offered on either a Full or Part Time basis of 3-4 days per week
Proximity to the Midlands area is desirable however my client is able to afford candidates a level of hybrid working with some travel around regional offices.
The ideal candidate will be experience as CEO, Managing Director or Practice Director ideally within SRA Regulated Law Firm setting of similar size however candidates with suitable experience gained within other professional services will be considered
Whilst this role will be inherited in a good position, the focus of this position over the next 3-5 years is firmly around both Improvement and growth (Organic and M&A)
You will have the ability to lead and motivate a team, manage conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key for interacting with clients, investors, and the public.
