Job Description - Managing director - selling erp software
We are seeking a Managing Director to join a leading Software ERP / Enterprise Resource Planning company.
They're globally recognised as a top provider of Integrated IT Systems for the Metals industry, with a turnover of £10+ million and a team of over 30 employees.
They are projected to grow to 50-80 employees and are part of a larger group of software companies with a combined turnover of $8 billion.
This role is suited for individuals who: Possess a strong personality Have a background in software delivery / ERP businesses Managed operations for organisations offering IT solutions to manufacturing or raw materials sectors, encompassing industries like metal, glass, paper, or rubber Are strategic thinkers willing to be hands-on when necessary Have an entrepreneurial mindset, with future opportunities to oversee multiple companies within the group.
Responsibilities: Financial and resource planning across all operations.
Ensuring financial stability, effective management, and goal achievement.
Directing and managing teams to meet business objectives within budget.
Collaborating with management teams to define company vision and mission.
Building and nurturing high-quality teams for sustainable growth.
Developing and executing long-term business and product strategies.
Upholding high standards of work and customer service.
Cultivating relationships with industry partners globally.
Implementing risk management policies for strategic and operational compliance.
Ensuring successful execution of company directives and adherence to regulations.
Qualifications: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams.
Experience in strategic planning and coordination across diverse functions.
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Operational expertise in managing customer relationships and business growth.
Financial management skills with a focus on revenue and profit targets.
Knowledge of policy, governance, and compliance frameworks.
Academic background or equivalent experience, preferably in software/technology.
Minimum ten years of relevant experience, including management roles.
Familiarity with manufacturing systems/software, especially in metal fabrication.
