This role sits at the heart of the deal sourcing process, helping to uncover and engage with owner-managed businesses that may be exploring a future sale. It's a great opportunity for someone with a background in outbound sales, lead generation, or commercial research to step into the world of mergers and acquisitions.

What You'll Do

• Research and identify potential M&A targets across a range of industries.
• Build and maintain structured outreach pipelines using CRM tools and platforms like LinkedIn.
• Craft and deliver thoughtful, tailored approaches to prospective clients via email, phone and social channels.
• Support senior team members in preparing for initial conversations and meetings with business owners.
• Track and report on progress, helping to drive a consistent flow of new conversations and deal opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with the wider M&A team to align outreach activity with strategic focus areas.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in a business development, sales, or lead generation role - ideally involving direct outreach.
• Confidence in initiating conversations with senior stakeholders or business owners.
• A results-driven mindset and the ability to work to engagement KPIs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and LinkedIn as prospecting tools.
• An interest in M&A, private equity, or the broader investment space (prior knowledge helpful, but not essential).
