M&E Buyer - Immediate Start

📍 Location: Southwark
🕘 Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm
📅 Contract: Temporary (2 months ongoing with potential to be extended)
💷 Pay: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We're looking for a hands-on, M&E Buyer to jump straight into a fast-paced contractor environment and make an immediate impact. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy procurement function, where no two days are the same, to support live projects and keep materials flowing to site seamlessly.

You will play a key role in ensuring operations run smoothly, working closely with project and procurement teams.

What You'll Be Doing

Sourcing and purchasing electrical and mechanical materials for multiple projects
Managing supplier quotes, negotiating where possible, and placing orders efficiently
Tracking deliveries and resolving any supply or logistics issues quickly
Supporting project teams with material availability and alternatives when needed
Maintaining strong supplier relationships and identifying new options in the market
Handling invoice queries and ensuring procurement stays within budget and timelines What We're Looking For

Solid electrical M&E buying experience
At least 2 years' experience within an electrical or mechanical supplier in the M&E sector
Good product knowledge across electrical (essential) and some mechanical (desirable)
Confident using Excel and Outlook
CIPS qualification (or working towards) - a bonus, not essential
Strong communicator with great attention to detail
