A well-established Facilities Management company is looking for an experienced M&E Engineer to join its Property Services team. You will help manage maintenance operations across a prestigious, high-profile site in West London, leading engineers and contractors while remaining involved in planned and reactive maintenance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer with strong mechanical, electrical and fabric maintenance experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility and progress their career.
The role
You will take responsibility for delivering a safe, compliant and high-quality maintenance service covering M&E, HVAC, water hygiene and general building fabric.
Your duties will include:
* Leading and supporting engineers and contractors to maintain consistently high service standards.
* Delivering and overseeing PPM and reactive maintenance, including emergency lighting tests and remedials, PAT testing, water sampling, plumbing and water-treatment remedials.
* Servicing, diagnosing and inspecting air-conditioning, HVAC and water systems.
* Monitoring KPIs and SLAs, resolving service issues before they affect the client.
* Preparing and enforcing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
* Conducting audits and inspections and implementing safe working practices.
* Acting as a key technical contact for both the engineering team and the client's on-site leadership.
* Producing accurate quotes and estimates, including parts and labour requirements.
* Completing general fabric maintenance, including basic carpentry, plumbing, decorating and painting.
* Using the CLICK system to complete job sheets, prepare quotations and provide certification.
* Ordering and sourcing materials efficiently.
Please note: this is a mobile role.
What you will need
* NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Strong experience in a maintenance or Facilities Management environment.
* A proven background in M&E servicing and maintenance.
* Previous supervisory, team-leading or leadership responsibilities.
* Good knowledge of health and safety, compliance, RAMS and relevant industry regulations.
* The confidence to manage teams, solve problems and drive operational performance.
* The physical capability to undertake manual handling and work at height or in confined spaces when required.
* General maintenance skills, including basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical work.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Experience using handheld technology and email.
* A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
