M&E Estimator

ESTIMATOR – M&E / CONSTRUCTION
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 DOE + Career Progression

THE OPPORTUNITY

CPXR is recruiting for an Estimator to join an established construction business based in Sittingbourne, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator with a background in M&E, building services and high-rise residential projects who is looking for a new challenge within a growing business.

The role will involve preparing accurate and competitive estimates and tenders for M&E packages and high-rise construction projects, working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and the wider commercial and pre-construction teams.

THE ROLE

• Prepare accurate estimates and tenders for M&E and construction packages
• Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Complete detailed take-offs, pricing and cost analysis
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential value engineering options
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
• Support the wider pre-construction and commercial functions throughout the tender process

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Experience as an Estimator, M&E Estimator or Senior Estimator
• Strong background in M&E, building services or high-rise construction
• Experience pricing and tendering M&E packages and construction projects
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, take-offs and cost planning
• Excellent commercial and analytical skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of relevant estimating and Microsoft Office software

Candidates from M&E subcontractor, main contractor or specialist building services backgrounds will also be considered.
