M&E Estimator / Commercial Quantity Surveyor

Location: Dartford, Kent
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday
Working Pattern: Hybrid – Minimum 3 Days in Office
Position: Permanent

The Opportunity

We're looking for an ambitious M&E Estimator / Commercial Quantity Surveyor to join an established building services contractor based in Dartford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified commercial professional who is ready to take ownership of projects valued between £100k and £1.5m, managing everything from initial tender through to final account.

You'll receive support and mentoring from experienced management, with a clear progression route into a Senior Commercial Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare estimates and tenders for mechanical and electrical installation projects

*

Manage project budgets, costs, forecasts and profitability

*

Handle procurement, subcontractor quotations and payments

*

Price, track and negotiate variations

*

Prepare applications for payment and financial reports

*

Manage the commercial aspects of projects through to final account

*

Work closely with project managers, engineers and clients

What We're Looking For

*

Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Estimating or Construction Commercial Management

*

Previous experience estimating and commercially managing M&E projects

*

Good understanding of JCT / NEC contracts

*

Strong commercial awareness and Excel skills

*

Ability to interpret M&E drawings and specifications

*

Confident communicator with strong organisational skills

*

Ambitious, proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership
