M&E Project Director

Location: East of England
Rate: £650 - £725 per day (DOE)
Duration: Long-term Freelance Contract

PSR Solutions are working with a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor to recruit an experienced M&E Project Director for a major £40m+ M&E package on a high-profile public sector project.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established project team and take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a technically challenging scheme from construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership across the full M&E delivery function.
Lead and manage project teams, including Project Managers, Commercial teams, Design Managers and Site Management teams.
Ensure programme, commercial, quality and health & safety objectives are achieved.
Manage client relationships and act as the senior point of contact throughout project delivery.
Oversee procurement, design coordination, commissioning and handover activities.
Drive project performance, mitigating risk and ensuring contractual compliance.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain programme certainty and commercial success.

Requirements

Proven experience operating as an M&E Project Director, Senior Project Director or equivalent on major construction projects.
Strong background delivering large-scale M&E packages valued in excess of £20m.
Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
Excellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
Demonstrable track record delivering projects safely, on programme and within budget.
Strong leadership, communication and client-facing skills.

Desirable

Experience on public sector, custodial, healthcare, defence or other highly regulated environments.
Tier 1 contractor background.
Mechanical or Electrical qualification.
SMSTS and relevant industry accreditations.
