A market-leading MEP contractor is seeking an ambitious M&E Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a prestigious £30 million new-build industrial/commercial project on the outskirts of Glasgow.
This high-profile development is being delivered for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and offers the opportunity to work on a technically complex scheme with one of the UK's most respected building services contractors.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Commercial team, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of a major MEP package, helping to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing subcontractor procurement and account administration
* Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts
* Identifying, pricing, and negotiating variations
* Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget management
* Supporting the preparation of monthly CVRs
* Working closely with project, design, and operational teams
* Assisting with risk and opportunity management throughout the project lifecycle
* Ensuring commercial compliance with contractual requirements
Requirements
* Previous experience working as an MEP Quantity Surveyor for a sub or main contractor.
* Strong commercial and contractual awareness
* Experience working on large-scale construction projects
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
* Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
* Must be eligible to obtain MOD Security Clearance (so no previous criminal record)
