Are you practical, reliable and happy working with your hands? We're looking for a Manufacturing & Assembly Operative to join an established business in Ashford.
Manufacturing & Assembly Operative
Location: Ashford
Pay: £13.33 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Alternate Saturdays, 7:00am – 11:00am
This is a varied, hands-on role involving assembling products, finishing metal components, checking quality and preparing finished goods for delivery. Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, fabrication, warehousing or a workshop would be beneficial.
You don't need to be a specialist metal finisher – we're looking for someone with a good attitude, attention to detail and a willingness to get stuck in.
What you'll be doing:
* Assembling products and fitting components
* Finishing metal products and checking the quality of completed work
* Using hand tools and carrying out general workshop duties
* Packing and preparing products for delivery or installation
* Keeping the work area clean, tidy and safe
* Supporting the wider team with day-to-day manufacturing tasks
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience in a practical, hands-on role, ideally within manufacturing, production, assembly or a workshop
* Good attention to detail and pride in your work
* A reliable attitude and willingness to learn
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Comfortable working indoors and outdoors when required
