Job Description - Manufacturing & Logistics Systems Support
Are you the go-to person for problem solving, when a system isn't quite working as it should?
Our multi-site Manufacturing & Logistics Systems run on business critical platforms such as ERP, WMS, and Labelling and Transport systems.
We don't need you to have an IT background. If you are experienced in a Warehousing, Production or Supply Chain environment, this role could be for you.
This role is based primarily at our Telford site (TF3 3AB). Initially, you'll be based fully onsite to build relationships with operational colleagues and develop a true understanding of how the business works. Hybrid working is available thereafter.
Travel to other sites will be required and company expensed.
About the RoleNo two days are the same here at Northwood, but here's a snapshot of what you will be involved in:
Being the main contact for core business systems Rectifying errors - you'll take ownership of this, investigate it, resolve it, and share your learnings Supporting our ERP platform (SAP), our SNAP Warehouse Management System, and our Markem labelling systems Supporting the scanners, printers, and devices that sit within the workflows of the above systems
You'll help our operational colleagues get the most from these systems, reinforcing their understanding of systems and their behaviours, and how to use them correctly.
When we launch a new system or change, you'll play an integral role in making sure this lands properly on the shopfloor, as well as the configuration.

Requirements
What we need from you:
Continuous improvement mindset and sharing your learnings with the wider team/business. Inquisitive approach with critical thinking, noticing patterns and recurring issues, helping to address and rectify them. Contribution to configuration changes, testing, documentation, and user guidance Involvement in projects, including upgrades, integrations, new site implementations, and reporting improvements
Proven experience & skills:
Worked with business systems in a Manufacturing, Warehousing or Supply Chain environment (IT or Operational perspective) Key user experience in business critical systems (e.g. SAP Super User or similar) Comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical teams, adapting your communication accordingly Ideally, you'll be familiar with SAP, Microsoft Business Central, Oracle (or similar), as well as WMS, Labelling Systems, and operational scanning/printing environments. Experienced in Microsoft Office applications - Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
