Manufacturing Controller - Immediate Start

Job Title: Manufacturing Controller
Location: Stevenage (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Hourly Rate: £23.50 (Inside IR35)

They are seeking a meticulous and proactive Manufacturing Controller to join their team in Stevenage. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient management of stores and inventory within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

• Manage stock control and storekeeping, including shelf life control.
• Load, control, and monitor work packages in accordance with planned lead and cycle times to meet manufacturing programs and delivery schedules.
• Perform packing duties, utilizing hand tools, and oversee the receiving and issuing of tooling.
• Update computer records accurately.
• Engage in kitting activities.
• Assist in loading and unloading Lorries.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Previous experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control.
• Ability to follow instructions diligently.
• Flexibility to work varied shift patterns.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in manual handling, lifting & slinging, including overhead cranes, with appropriate training (ESD training preferred).

Desirable Skills:

• Proficiency in PC skills, particularly EXCEL.
• Forklift truck licence.
• Familiarity with Kanban and 2-bin systems.
• Experience with Enterprise Planning Systems (e.g., SAP).
