Job Description - Manufacturing Engineer

Do you hold an engineering degree or relevant qualification? Do you have shopfloor manufacturing engineering experience? If so, this could be an amazing opportunity for you! Our client, an aerospace manufacturer, is recruiting for a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer for their site in Leicester. The role will involve supporting manufacturing cells by driving engineering improvements, resolving issues, and ensuring consistent product quality and workflow.

Graduate Manufacturing Engineer

Permanent
£30,000 - £35,000 plus 12.5% SP
Monday - Friday (double days with every second Friday off)

Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description

Supporting manufacturing teams with day-to-day problem solving, ensuring workflow continuity and achievement of output and quality targets.
Implementing engineering process improvements in tooling, layout, and programming to maintain product conformity and enhance efficiency.
Investigating root causes of recurring issues, applying corrective actions to reduce rework, scrap, and non-conformance.
Producing process documentation and delivering workforce training to standardize procedures and build technical capability.
Collaborating with planning and control teams to ensure readiness for new or existing orders, including tooling, training, and documentation.

Manufacturing Engineer
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Holder of a degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification (HNC/HND) or experience
3-4 years' experience in a relevant engineering position
Previous shopfloor manufacturing engineering experience
Experience in fast-paced mass production environments with a strong focus on problem solving would be advantageous
